Lower School Library: Summer Reading Recommendations 2019

Why Read This Summer?

In the midst of camps, trips, sunshine, pools, and adventures, I hope you will find quiet moments to escape into a favorite book or series.  Or find great guide books or field guides to learn more about somewhere you are going (or have been) or something you have discovered along the way.  Non-fiction, graphic novels, magazines, how-to books all count as reading. Studies repeatedly show that reading over the summer keeps your skills strong and makes you better prepared to start the school year.

I strongly encourage you to make friends with your neighborhood library staff.  All of our public libraries offer amazing summer reading programs and the opportunity to earn prizes through your reading.
